In today's society it is very easy to plagiarize because of social media network like Google and Wikipedia. Examples will be when authors write books and steal other authors information. There are so many electronic devises available like smart phones, computers, tablets etc. that plagiarizing is becoming a life style for some people.
"Last week famed primatologist Jane Goodall was found to have plagiarized parts of her new book, but a deeper look reveals a work plagued by rampant copying, obvious errors, and ominous junk science. By Michael Moynihan. Jane Goodall used many plagiarism errors in her book "Seeds of Hope".

I looked at the other websites you listed. I didn't know so many different ones existed. I am useing google for my project. I have looked at google and I like the things I saw so at this time I choose to use it. I would be afraid at this point to try and use something different because it may not all work out for me and I will be stuck trying to tell about something I wasn't so shure about. I am not famalia with the other websites. I should stick with this one because I am a little more familiar with it.

homework assignment 3-14-2003
Homework due 3-14-2013
I chose google scholar which was cited 135 related articles. I looked at an article of Effects of Phenotypic Characteristic on the Length of Stay of Dogs at Two No Kill Animal Shelters. The abstract showed the younger puppies had the shorter length of stay. Medium size dogs had the greatest length of stay. The extra small dogs and puppies remained in the shelter the least amount of time. Their findings showed that the different traits of the animals in a specific shelter and their different characteristics that is desired by the people adopting them are critical for them to improve the welfare of animals served by that shelter. The other article I read was Behavioral Reasons for Relinquishment of Dogs and Cats to 12 Shelters. This shelter is sponsored by the National Council on Pet Population Study and Policy is a national research project designed to explore the characteristics of these cats and dogs and the reasons for their relinquishment. They look at the aggression of the animals to humans. It didn’t show any thing towards his, or how many times they are mated, or the amount of babies they have had, or if they we pure bread status or not. The associations were found between relinquishment and the number of pets in a household, length of ownership, training, age of pet, the difference between the state and the income level of the owners.

The shelter I visited on Reddit was so much in need for
staff, money, space, food, etc. They had
a lot of animals a total of ninety three.
They have about thirty five dogs coming daily. The animals suffer because of the lack of
essentials and space. This network was
useful in finding information for my paper.
I didn’t know it existed. Now
that I know about it I will use it because it seems to be beneficial to me.
This is a very useful source and you can
find other valuable information from other sources that is listed to be used in
class. I don’t use social media because I was not aware of it until I took this
course. I will be using it a lot to do
other things now that I know about it. I
do plan to use these different source engins.

Same Sex Marriage
I was thinking about same sex marriage as being an American
value. Gay people have the same rights
to the constitution of The United States as every- one else does. I think marriage is a right we all have
including gays under our constitution.
The fallacies can be appeal to the people and ad populum.

The author is Ezra Klain and he is very knowledgeable about his material. I goggled this person. He is a colonist with Washington Post. His background and interest is in Political Science and budget policy which makes him an authority on the subject matter. His article states that he doesn't understand the Republican position on the sequester. His reasoning in explaining what he thinks the position of the Republicans budget talks are cut the deficit, cut entitlement spending, protect defense spending, and possibly even increase it, simplify the ax code by cleaning out deductions and loopholes and lowering the tax rates. The Republicans don't want that deal. They prefer to sequester the deal which means they will get less on the deficit, basically nothing on entitlements, tax codes, and tax rates and they will hurt themselves on defense spending. They fallacy is appealing to authority. This means using the opinion or position of an authority figure, or institution of authority, in place of an argument. Also it could be a slippery slope which means asserting that if we allow A to happen, then Z will consequently happen too, therefore A should not happen.

No Kill Shelters For Animals in the United States
I am keeping my same topic for research at the moment. I don't see any reason to make any changes at the present moment. In class you were explaining how to go from one data base to another one if you need to. There is so much data in all of the data bases which is so useful and knowledgeable. There are a lot of things that does not appear to be useful to me at present. Thank you for introducing the class and myself to this wonderful information. I can always use it in the future of my classes. You are so knowledgeable.
The book I checked out was found in stacks on the second floor. The call number is BJ354.S561.200 The Author is Singer, Peter 1946 The name of the book is Writings on an Ethical Life

LIBR 1101 Course Blog: Blog Homework due 2/7, 10pm
Thank you for having the lady from special collections today. I had forgotten all about that department. She was very informative. I can use special collections if the need arrives because my topic is about the no kill animal shelters and adoptions. There are so many different articles down there to use in doing my references. I could use magazines and newspaper articles from some time ago up to present time if there is a need for information. There are also periodicals there to look through that is also very informative. Since we are learning how to look in different directions through different data bases, special collections should not be too difficult to use. If there is any problems from the usage there are always wonderful people there to help you. Again I would like to say thank you for having this wonderful knowledgeable lady to speak to us today. I look forward to working with her and her department of special collections.

Adopting Cats and Dogs verses Having Dogs and Cats Authenticated
I am finding more information through Google about spaying and neutering dogs and cats. I am looking a the Psychological and the Sociological aspects of the situation. I think this is a much better way to control their population. You now have he option of spaying, neutering and adoption. When an animal is adopted by a family for a child or by an individual usually there will be a lot of love involved with the adoption. If an animal get into a loving family and environment the life span will be longer because they are happy. Adoption plays a good role because less cats and dogs will end up being euthanasia It will be better if everyone would consider the concept if you can to plan to have your cat or dog spayed or neutered. You can check out your local shelters for animals to be adopted or your local newspaper because they are all ways running ads for adoptions or they wand to give away animals to a loving home or family.
I have looked in Psychology today magazine and several others for information about my topic of cats and dogs adoptions verses animal cruelty. I am glad I choose this topic because it is very interesting. The more I look in the different areas I am finding some information. I am looking at Google, psychology today, and other magazines that can give me information about my topic. There are so many resources at the moment that is hard to keep up with it all but it is all interesting especially when you see the children and how they love animals. I got to class a little late today because of the bus so I am not real sure about the Gil-find catalog. I will research it on my own to be for sure that I am following directions. When I look there I will let you know in class my find.
I did do some update so I looked at The Psychology and behavior sciences collection and that did not not work at this time for me. Articles and database Medline medical and health sciences that are no matches for this subject. I checked out the National Geographic through Galileo. My findings showed were other topics such as control obesity and morbidity in the marshes. Therefore I will just have to continue to look.Today is Wed. Jan. 30 I am not sure why the date shows up as Mon. 28 I just wanted to make shure I get the correct credit

Animal Uthinizeation verses Animal Adoptions
I am changing my research topic again because I came across an article
in the newspaper that was so interesting that I just had to at least try
this topic and see where it will lead me. I can always change if I
think I need to. The article I want to do now is about animals being
mistreated. I hate to read where people have deposited animals they no
longer want beside the road or have done real bad things to these
animals. It seems to me they have no heart and they don't really care.
To some people these animals are more like family so how could you as a
person with a good heart do this to an animal that you once have
loved. I feel like they will have to deal with their decisions one
day. I love animals especially dogs. There are so many animals cats as
well as dogs that need to be adopted. They will make nice gifts to
children especially the handicapped . Animals tend to bring joy and
happiness at the end of the day sometimes. Most children will want them
and treat them like a family member right away. I will use google and
aspca to find information about my topics. In class the information and
directions made me rethink and this topic really changed my mind.

Two Research Topics For Finals
One topic I would like to research for finals is how accurate are credit reporting agencies. I would like to check the different web sites they use and others to see just how accurate they really are. Our credit is a very important part of our life and will be used that way. I would like to see how important credit reports really are and how they are published. Also I would like to research purchasing eyeglasses. I need some and I went on line to look but I found so much of nothing. I would like to find out more information on this and the different web sites before I start ordering and spending money.

Purchasing a Cell Phone
I recently wanted to purchase a
cell phone like some of my classmates have.
I was undecided about the prices.
When I entered the store it was not as bad as I had thought. The
surroundings were all new and clean and
pretty. The phone I thought I wanted wasn't what I ended up getting.
I could get a upgraded phone for free. I will have to purchase two
items for fifty
dollars each. My payments will be ten
dollars more for the newer version of the original phone per month with
all
kinds of free benefits. The problem I am
dealing with is the price per month. I
guess everything will work out just fine.
The funny part to all of this for me was the salesperson gave me her
card in case I have any questions. I thought
about asking if the phone will be mobile to mobile all day or certain
times of
the day or what. I called the number to
ask the question and the number was no good.
I also tried the total free number on the card and it also was no
good. I found this to be somewhat odd
and funny. It must be a mistake they are
in business to sell items and the phone numbers are no good. I went to
the store for advice on their
equipment and information and I did get pretty much reliable
information. The reason I went to the store was to find
out firsthand what my options were and what information they had to help
me try
to solve my questions.
